July 2021 - Openings for Grade 2-7 at Olive Branch Christian School

Dear All,

Olive Branch Christian School exists to love, live and share Christ through education. Our goal is to partner with you, parents, in educating your children to be the next generation of future leaders who are passionate for the glory of God alone.

As the new school year 2021/22 is approaching, we are glad to enroll our existing students and new students at our school. We have openings to new students, especially for grades 2 to 7. If you are interested in registering your child(ren) to Olive Branch Christian School, please give us a call at 951.279.9977. You can also email the Principal, Mrs. Tjioe, at gtjioe@obcschool.org. Thank you.

March 13, 2020 at 6:00pm - Email regarding Olive Branch Christian School

Dear Olive Branch Families,

The safety of your children is our utmost priority. We have been in constant evaluation of the circumstances surrounding the coronavirus. As President Trump has declared a national emergency due to the coronavirus, we will be closing school effective March 16th. We will be updating you, but at this point, we are closing until April 3rd and school will resume April 6th.

Please know that the decision to close the school is not taken lightly and understand this is an inconvenience for your family. We do want to follow the guidelines of the Governor as well as comply with what the local districts around us are doing to take every precaution to ensure student and family safety.

Our building will be closed, but plans are in place to continue learning during this time. Your students were sent home with basic essentials to complete their work today. We will be updating information and assignments via Renweb. You can log on to Renweb to see what assignments your child should complete. If there are pages that need to go home, they will be mailed or emailed. We will be sending home weekly packets for the younger students. If your child should have any questions our teachers will be available via phone to talk to your child through a concept or even facetime with them. The number is 951-356-8121.

Teachers are available to chat live from 8:30am to 3:00pm. You can also leave a voicemail if you have a pressing question outside of instruction hours and the teacher will get back to you the next day. All items on Renweb will be current by 12pm on Monday, March 16th.

We know this is a rapidly changing situation and will be updating you frequently on any changes. Should you be in desperate need of child care due to work circumstances, there are some families who have volunteers to help, if you are available to help, please contact at the school office as well and we are trying to connect these families together.

Thank you for your support.

In His Service,
Mandy Logan

Olive Branch Family,
Praise God that in the midst of change we serve a God that never changes!
Over the past few days, we have seen many church ministries go online while others continue to carry out weekend services. And both are options. In light of the coronavirus, many have asked, “Will we have church this weekend?” The answer is yes! We have decided to stay open this weekend and we will continue to have our live stream available on Facebook and Youtube during second service on Sunday at 9:30am. The decision to stay open was made for the following reasons:
  • There are no known cases of the virus in our immediate area.
  • We are taking precautions to disinfect our facility. This includes continual disinfecting of door handles, children’s classrooms before & after service, and providing hand sanitizer.
  • Until further notice, will not be providing coffee, donuts, and refreshments out of a precaution.
  • Because our facility is of a smaller nature, we will be following the county guidelines of no gatherings larger than 250 people.
  • We are asking those who are over 70 years old, those that have underlying health issues, and if you are not feeling well to please stay home and join our online live stream which can be found on Facebook and Youtube. We will have online hosts ready to greet you, pray with you, and join you on our live stream.
If you are not comfortable with attending church in person, we understand and encourage you to join us through the live stream.
We also want to encourage you to continue to Love, Live, and Share Christ wherever you go! Now is the time to display our faith, pray for others, and share Christ – the reason for our hope!
As you know, we’re in a situation none of us have been in before and things are changing day by day. We want to assure you that we as a church will continue to gather – how we gather (in person or online) may change as the situation develops.
Please join us in praying for the world, our nation, our leaders, our healthcare providers, and all of those impacted directly or indirectly by the coronavirus!
All future updates will be communicated via email, social media, and the church app (available at all app stores).
If you are older and need assistance please make us aware of your needs by contacting the church office at 951-279-4477 .
In Christ,
Greg Harris
