Educational Philosophy

Teaching from a Christian worldview

Our goal is to educate children in a Christian worldview, teaching them to take up the tools of learning to glorify their Creator. Students are educated as individuals who are created, loved, and governed by the God of the Bible.

Bible is not only a separate subject, but is the perspective from which all subjects are taught. As we teach every subject, we seek to diligently teach and apply the truths and principles of the Word of God.

Our educational philosophy is guided and informed by the biblical realities of Creation, the Fall, and Redemption. Our Christian worldview determines and guides all classroom instruction. History demonstrates God’s sovereignty and providence. Science demonstrates His wisdom and creativity. Math demonstrates His order and logic.

Our approach recognizes the intellectual development of a child and matches the delivery of instruction in pursuit of its goal – to train up a young man or woman not simply to be a good worker in a field, but to be an able person in life. We aim to train both the hearts and minds of our students. Our conviction is to “bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord” within the context of a Christian worldview.

Deuteronomy 6:7 commands parents, “You shall teach them diligently to your sons and shall talk of them when you sit in your house and when you walk by the way and when you lie down and when you rise up.” Under this command, parents are expected to take their understanding of the Word of God and apply it to every aspect of life so that their children grow up with their understanding of all of life infused with the Word of God. Our purpose as a Christian school is no different. We ultimately desire the redemption of the soul of each child as they are taught and trained to pursue their God-given course to the glory of God.
