Starting Point
This is a 10-week, conversational environment where you can explore faith and experience community. It is a safe place where you can come with any questions about the Christian faith and any doubts about God and the Bible. For most people it is uncomfortable to ask questions about God. How can we be sure God exists? If God is good why is there so much evil in this world? Is the Bible really a reliable source that we can trust? It may be hard to ask these questions aloud because it confirms to us that we struggle with believing in God. It may be that you always felt it was wrong or offensive to ask difficult questions about God and so you live with the attitude that you just need to shut up and believe. Let me share a little secret—God understands your struggle to believe and He says, “Seek me and you will find me.”
Everyone needs their questions answered, but where do you go to ask them? Starting Point is that safe place.
Some Questions We’ll Explore Include:
- How can I know God exists?
- If God is good, why is there so much evil?
- How can I know the Bible is trustworthy and reliable?
We’ll also explore God’s story as the Bible unfolds his plan from the beginning of time through eternity and we’ll learn how to find our place in it. Starting Point groups form at a few times throughout the year.
